The Journey of Nexovaste Technologies

The roots of Nexovaste Technologies trace back to The Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic, Saapade, where three of the founders pursued their academic journey in Computer Science and demonstrated exceptional leadership.

1. Adeyemi Ayobami Samson – CEO

HND in Computer Science (2024/2025). Served as Software Director 1 for his set, leading student developers and coordinating major tech initiatives.

2. Bamirin Francis – Deputy CEO

HND Computer Science (Software Development), graduating in the 2025/2026 session. Later became Software Director 1 of his own set, continuing the leadership legacy established by the CEO.

3. Ogunleye Opeyemi Jamiu – CTO

ND in Computer Science (2024/2025). Served as Software Director 2, representing the ND students and ensuring strong technical coordination.

Alongside them were two additional co-founders with strong academic and administrative backgrounds:

4. Emmanuel Samuel Samako – COO

Graduate of Public Administration (BSc), University of Lagos (UNILAG), 2024/2025.

5. Emmanuel Seton – CFO

Graduate of Computer Science (BSc), Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), 2024/2025.

Together, their combined strengths technology, administration, finance, leadership, and innovation formed a powerful foundation for Nexovaste Technologies.

The breakthrough moment came during the 2024/2025 academic session, when the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) organized a national inter-school FinTech competition. Institutions across Nigeria were challenged to build innovative web-based financial solutions.

Gateway ICT Polytechnic Saapade was represented by:

• The CEO – Software Director 1 (HND)
• The Deputy CEO – HND 1 at the time
• The CTO – Software Director 2 (ND)

Together, they developed an advanced Microfinance Banking and Loan Management System featuring:

• Automated loan approval
• User dashboards
• Secure online transactions
• Modern FinTech UI/UX
• Real-time data workflow

Gateway ICT Polytechnic Saapade Won 1st Position Nationwide

Their innovation earned the 1st Place Position in Nigeria, marking a historic achievement for the institution and a life-changing moment for the team.

After their victory, the team presented the award to top leaders of the Polytechnic:

• Mrs. Olabisi Olayinka Onalaja – HOD, Computer Science
• Mr. I.O. Eleyewo – Dean, School of Science & Technology
• Mr. Tailored Kolawole Ogunyinka – Deputy Rector
• Dr. Sanni Kehinde Oseni – Rector

Each leader praised their excellence, innovation, and professionalism, acknowledging them as role models for future students.

A major pillar behind the success of the founders is Mrs. Mahmood Zainab Adebowale, a lecturer deeply respected for her integrity, discipline, and unwavering support. She guided the team academically and morally like a mother and consistently pushed them to embrace excellence over shortcuts.

After the founders’ set graduated, she became the Head of the Computer Science Department, a well-deserved promotion that brought joy to the entire team.

A Special Tribute to Engr. Afolabi Michael

One of the most influential figures in the Nexovaste journey is Engr. Afolabi Michael - the programming mentor who trained all five founders from the ground up.

• Teaching Full Stack Development
• Offering mentorship beyond academics
• Building their confidence in project defense
• Training them like family, not just students
• Inspiring discipline, passion, innovation, and courage

His mentorship turned complete beginners into skilled software engineers capable of building enterprise-grade solutions. The founders consider him a foundational pillar in their success.

Due to their outstanding performance and dedication, several opportunities were granted by the Rector and the ICT department:

• The CEO completed his NYSC at the Polytechnic’s ICT Office.
• The CTO completed his one-year Industrial Training (IT) in the same office.
• The Deputy CEO rose to become Software Director 1 in the 2025/2026 session.
• The Rector also promised to staff the founders in the ICT Office because of their excellence.
• They were assigned the responsibility to build a school-wide digital solution for all students.

Their achievements were also celebrated during a major event organized by Nervego Company, where the founders received gifts, recognition, and financial support from industry leaders.

After years of recognition, strong mentorship, teamwork, and success in delivering complex software projects, the founders felt prepared to create something bigger a company that would redefine innovation and digital transformation in Nigeria.

This vision led to the birth of Nexovaste Technologies, built on:
